Multi-Phase Hardscape & Landscape Improvements in Black Canyon City, AZ
This two-phase project transformed the outdoor areas surrounding a renovated home and newly constructed garage. We installed a large paver driveway and patio, improved grading and drainage, added a Bermuda sod lawn, and completed erosion control improvements to create a more functional property.
Property Transformation
Creating a Functional Connection Between the Home and Garage
The homeowner was completing a major home renovation that included the construction of a new garage. They wanted a large paver driveway and patio area that would connect both structures while providing additional usable space between them.
To prepare the property for the new hardscaping, we evaluated the elevations and drainage requirements for the new driveway and patio. The project was organized into two phases, covering the hardscape installation followed by lawn improvements and erosion control.

A Two-Phase Hardscape & Landscape Transformation
This project was completed in two phases, beginning with the installation of a large paver driveway and patio, followed by lawn installation and erosion control improvements. Each phase helped improve the property's functionality, accessibility, and usable outdoor space.
Phase 1: Paver Driveway & Patio Installation
We brought in more than 60 tons of fill material to establish proper elevations and drainage, then graded the area and compacted the base. We installed a large paver driveway and patio connecting the renovated home with the new garage. We also added a smaller paver sidewalk to provide convenient access to the garage's side door.
Phase 2: Lawn Installation & Erosion Control
The homeowner wanted to add greenery to a specific area of the property, so we installed concrete landscape curbing and Bermuda sod to create a defined lawn. We also placed large riprap in an existing drainage ditch to help stabilize the area and reduce erosion caused by water flowing through the property during monsoon storms.
